Article first published as NBA's Nash, Parker Passing on Marriage on Technorati.

Point guards are responsible for passing the ball to other teammates so that they can score. In less than a week, two of the National Basketball Association’s leading point guards are passing on marriage.
Announced Wednesday via Twitter, Eva Longoria, star of ABC’s Desperate Housewives, said that the game is over for her and husband Tony Parker, of the San Antonio Spurs. Longoria tweeted:
According to TMZ, Longoria filed divorce paperwork in Los Angeles County Superior Court and cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. Reports say that Longoria found hundreds of text messages on Parker’s cell phone from a “mystery woman” who is supposedly married to a fellow Spurs player.
Parker and Longoria’s divorce may come as a surprise. The duo were one of the happier celebrity couples, often seen together at events, including the exhibition game in August between the USA and Parker’s native country, France.
This announcement
comes on the heels of Phoenix Suns point guard, Steve Nash, releasing a statement that he and his wife of five years, Alejandra Amarilla, are calling it quits.
Going public last Saturday, Nash’s announcement came just one day after the birth of the couple’s son, Mateo. Together for almost 10 years, Nash and Amarilla have two other children, twin daughters Lola and Bella, born in 2004.
